View your billing history

See the fees Freedom has charged your company, when they occurred, why, and their current status.

Freedom charges certain payroll fees directly to your company, such as a fee when a payment to an employee bounces or when a payroll is funded by wire. There is no invoice to pay: these charges are debited automatically from your default funding account. Your billing history lists each charge so you can see what it was for and its current status.

  1. Go to Billing under Settings.

  2. Review the billing history table. Each row shows the charge ID, the fee date, a description of what caused the charge, how the amount was calculated, the amount, and its status.

  3. Use the "Status" filter to narrow the list to one or more statuses.

The statuses mean:

  • "Pending": the fee is waiting to be debited.

  • "Processing": the debit has started. A bank transfer can take a few business days to clear.

  • "Paid": the debit went through.

  • "Payment failed": the debit didn't go through. Freedom may try to debit it again from your default funding account.

  • "Waived": Freedom won't collect this fee.

  • "Refunded": Freedom refunded this fee.

Note: The list shows your 500 most recent charges. If you have more, a line above the table tells you.
