Go to Workplaces from the sidebar under People.
To add a new workplace, click "Add Workplace" and enter the location name and full address.
To change a workplace's status, open the actions menu on its row and toggle between active and inactive.
Note: Workplaces determine local tax jurisdictions for employees assigned to them. Make sure each workplace has an accurate address so taxes are calculated correctly.
When a workplace address isn’t recognized
After you enter a new workplace’s address and click "Create Workplace", Freedom verifies the address. If it can’t be verified, you’ll see the message "The address was invalid. Did you mean this one?" along with a suggested corrected address.
Review the suggested address, then click "Use this address" to fill it into the form.
Click "Create Workplace" again to finish adding the workplace with the corrected address.
Note: If no suggested address appears, Freedom couldn’t verify the address at all. Double-check the street, city, state, and ZIP, then try again.
