If Vestwell or Basic Capital manages your 401(k), you can't change your contribution in Freedom. They are our integrated retirement partners and they hold your contribution, so sign in to your Vestwell or Basic Capital account and change it there. For a Vestwell plan, the Retirement card in Freedom shows a "Sign in to Vestwell" link. Your new contribution reaches your pay when the provider sends Freedom its next update.
For any other plan, change your contribution in Freedom:
From your personal home page, click the Benefits card, then click "Change contribution" on your Retirement card — or open Change your contribution directly.
If your plan lets you choose, pick "Percent of pay" or "Dollar amount" under "Contribute as".
Enter your new contribution, then click "Review change".
Compare "Now" and "New" in the confirmation, then click "Confirm and save".
Note: A payroll already in progress may not include your new contribution, and we email you a copy of the change.
