Refer another business to Freedom and you each get a $100 gift card after their first paid payroll, subject to review and approval.
How it works
Share your link. Send your referral link to a business you think would be a good fit for Freedom, or have Freedom email an invite for you.
They sign up and run payroll. The business you referred creates a company on Freedom using your link and runs its first paid payroll.
You both get a gift card. Freedom reviews the referral. Once it's approved, you and the business you referred each get a $100 gift card.
Find and share your referral link
Go to Earn $100 from the sidebar, or click the gift icon in the top bar.
To share the link yourself, click "Copy link" next to your referral link, then paste it into a message to the business owner.
To have Freedom email them, enter an email address under "Invite by email". Click "+ Add another" to add more addresses (up to 10 at a time), or paste a list of addresses into the address box.
Click "Send invites". Each address then shows "Invite sent", "Already invited", or "Couldn't send".
Note: Each invite email includes your referral link. You can send up to 20 invites a day. An address that has already been invited doesn't get another email.
Track your referrals
Once a business you referred has created its company, it appears under "Your referrals" on the Earn $100 page with the date and one of these statuses. Businesses you invited that haven't signed up yet aren't listed.
In progress. The business has created its company on Freedom, and its first paid payroll hasn't happened yet.
Reward pending. The business has run its first paid payroll. Freedom is reviewing the referral and preparing the gift cards.
Reward sent. Freedom has sent the gift cards by email.
Not eligible. Freedom's review found that the referral isn't eligible. If you think that's wrong, contact Freedom support.
When you get your reward
Freedom reviews each referral. Under the program terms, you receive your gift card within 30 calendar days after the business has signed up through your link, completed onboarding, and run its first paid payroll through Freedom. Your account and the business's account must both still be open when the gift cards are issued.
Freedom sends the gift card by email to the address on your Freedom account. You first get a message from Freedom that the gift card is on its way, and the card itself arrives in a separate email. If you don't see it within a few minutes, check your spam or promotions folder.
Note: Only a payroll that the business ran through Freedom and that has been paid counts. Pay history that moves to Freedom from another provider doesn't count.
Who's eligible
The business you refer signs up as a new Freedom customer through your link.
The business completes onboarding and runs at least one paid payroll through Freedom.
Freedom gives one reward per referred business.
The program terms don't allow posting your link on coupon or discount sites, or buying search ads on the term "Freedom". Breaking these terms can disqualify you.
Note: Click "Terms and conditions" on the Earn $100 page to read the full program terms. The terms say Freedom sets the reward amounts and can change them for future referrals, and the page always shows the current offer. For a question about a specific referral, contact Freedom support.
